Emily Procter

 

Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8 1998) is an American activist and actress. She played Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on October 8 in 1968. She was adopted at an infant age by William Procter, a general practitioner, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old when she divorced her parents. Whit her older brother, has also been adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a anchor on television for WNCT-TV Greenville, North Carolina. Following graduation, she was awarded degrees in journalism, and dance.

She is currently the anchor for Weather Command, Fox Weather.    She was the meteorologist for the weekend at WABC-TV, New York City.
